A 26-day-old baby has been stolen from the Charitable Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Thapathali, Kathmandu. SP Navraj Adhikari informed that the 26-day-old baby of Savita Shrestha, who is currently living in Kapan, was stolen from the hospital in Chaurideurali rural municipality-3 of Kavre.
According to the police, the mother Savina had let an unknown woman who came next to carry the child to help her by carrying the child while throwing away the garbage in her hand.
It is reported by Savina that the woman ran away with the child when she returned after throwing the garbage in the dustbin . The SP officer informed that the woman who absconded with the child is being searched for.
According to hospital sources, Savina came to the hospital after the baby fell ill.
