A motorcyclist died after being hit by a passenger bus in Dang on Tuesday night.
Under the Ghorahi-Lamhi road section, the bus No. 6 B 1486 of Tulsipur Transport Pvt., which was going from Tulsipur in Belbhar, Ghorahi sub-metropolis 17, hit the motorcycle number Lu 41 P8092, which was going from Gogli to Ghorahi, and the driver died.
The motorcyclist who was seriously injured in the accident, 23-year-old Sougat Wali, a resident of Ghorahi 17, died during treatment at the Rapti Health Science Academy, according to District Traffic Police Office Dang.
Similarly, 35-year-old Sharad Lamichhane, a resident of Tulsipur sub-metropolitan city 11, who was riding a motorcycle, was seriously injured in the accident. Lamichhane's right leg was injured and he is currently being treated at Rapti Health Science Academy in Ghorahi.
The police arrested the bus driver, 29-year-old Rajesh Periyar, a resident of Tulsipur 7, and are conducting further investigations into the incident, informed Kiran Prakash Malla, head of the district traffic police office, Dang.
