The victims of Chitwan Sahara, Shivshikhar Multipurpose Cooperative and Sunshine Savings and Credit Cooperative held a press conference in Bharatpur on Wednesday and announced that they will demonstrate. According to them, including these three cooperatives, more than 20 thousand savers of various cooperatives have been affected.

They also expressed their anger saying that the Chitwan police did not show proactivity to arrest the cooperative owners who fled without returning the savings. It has been eight/nine months today that arrest warrants were issued against those who drowned and hid. Shalikram Duwadi, the victim saver of Chitwan Sahara, said that he has been caught. Duwadi informed that the fugitive co-operative fraudsters should be prosecuted, justice should be given to the co-operative victims by returning the savings, relief packages should be announced and demonstrations will be held with demands. Now it's too much. We have been waiting for 20 months to return the victim's savings. Nothing is achieved," said Badri Pokharel, saver of Shivsikhar Multi-Purpose Cooperative Organization.

He said that Ravi Lamichhane, who had won from Chitwan, has become the Home Minister, but even when they took the matter from the municipality to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police, the savers were suffering because no concrete solution was forthcoming.

'We need the savings back. Prime Minister Dahal returned it. Home Minister Lamichhane or Gagan Thapa of the opposition party played a role and gave us justice. But what relief will we get by blaming each other on this issue and only protesting in the Parliament,' asked Pokharel.

Tulsiram Sapkota, the saver of Sunrise Cooperative, said that the main accused were caught by Nawalpur police. In Chitwan, the owners of Sunrise Cooperative embezzled more than 90 million rupees. We have been trying to get the money back for 20 months. But its operators are not caught in Chitwan. "Sapkota said that after the same owner ran another cooperative in Nawalpur and embezzled the savings, they were caught there.

RP MP Geeta Basnet is also involved in misappropriation of cooperative savings. An arrest warrant has also been issued against him. But MP Basnet has not been arrested. "We have put the money we have earned through hard work and our brother's money abroad into this cooperative. Others made fun of our money. I hear that the MP embezzled the savings. Krishna Subedi, a saver of Shivshikhar, said that he kept the money he got when he retired as a teacher in the cooperative and when it sank, he started having trouble with the medical expenses of his family members. Nilakantha Tiwari of Sahara Chitwan said that apart from the President's office, despite the matter reaching from the ward to the Prime Minister's office, he was disappointed to see that no action had been taken. He said, 'Now let our savings be returned. Whoever protects the criminal should be punished.'

Vinod Acharya, another saver of Sahara Chitwan, said that some people flee abroad after embezzling the money collected by the common people, but the government is unable to do anything.
