On Saturday afternoon, the police arrested an elderly citizen with marijuana from his house located in Gularia Municipality-7.
DSP Tulsiram Aryal, information officer of the district police office, said that around nine and a half kilos of ganja were seized in a plastic sack at the house of 76-year-old Nandalal Godia of the same place.
Godia's house was seized with one scale, one kilo lid, one foot of stone and Godia was taken under control, he said. After the death of Godia's wife, who was living alone at home, his sons have been living separately.
The police are investigating him.
