Three tippers have been taken into custody for illegally excavating riverine material in the Kamala River in Siraha. The Sub-Division Forest Office, Bandipur took control of three tippers at 12.30 pm on Friday night.

Sujit Kumar Jha, Head of Division Forest Office, Lahan, said that while mining in Kamala is completely prohibited, three tippers were taken into custody while bringing non-river material from the place where the environmental impact has not been assessed.

According to Jha, they were excavating in Kamala with illegal parts. According to the forest, the three tippers seized are now being kept at Sub-Division Forest Office, Bandipur and are being investigated.
