According to Indian media citing a local police officer, a stampede occurred on Tuesday when a religious program was over in Rativanpur village of Hathras district. More than 150 people were injured in the stampede.

Hathras, a large number of people attended Bhole Baba's religious satsang of Bahadurnagari village. According to the local police, his real name is Narayan Sakar Hari and he left the government job about 27 years ago and started religious preaching. He has been conducting satsang programs under the banner of Sakar Vishwa Hari Bhole Baba. It is said that at least 15,000 people attended the

event. The Indian media quoted the local authorities as saying that a stampede broke out when Baba and his wife left the venue after the address.
