The agreement to share power with UML was approved by the Congress meeting

Talking to the media after the meeting, Congress spokesperson Dr. Prakasharan Mahat basically said that the agreement reached between the UML and the Congress was welcomed in the official meeting. He said, 'The meeting has supported the agreement between the top leaders of the two parties sharing power between UML and Congress.'

He also said that information was given in the meeting regarding leadership. He said, 'The meeting has also approved the issue of UML President KP Sharma Oli leading the government in the first phase and Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba leading the government in the second phase.'

Congress and UML reached an agreement on June 17 to remove Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and form a new government.

Decisions of the meeting of the Central Executive Committee of Nepali Congress held on 19 June 2081:

(1) This meeting welcomes and supports the agreement between the Nepali Congress and the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) regarding the formation of the Government of National Consensus concluded on 17 June 2081 .

(2) between the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML) to protect the national interest, to maintain good governance in the country by controlling corruption, to intensify the drive for development, to maintain political stability, to review the practice of the constitution and strengthen the federal democratic republican system and inclusiveness To amend the constitution, to strengthen the economy and to achieve these objectives, the government of national consensus was led for the first time by the Chairman of CPN (UML) Honorable K.P. This meeting expresses determination to implement the agreement reached by Sharma Oli and the Chairman of Nepali Congress for the second time Honorable Sher Bahadur Deuba.

(3) According to Article 76(2) of the Constitution of Nepal between the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML), honorable K.P. In view of the fact that the majority of the House of Representatives is clear if the government has been agreed to be formed under the leadership of Sharma Oli, the Honorable Prime Minister believes that this meeting is appropriate to pave the way for the formation of a new government of national consensus.

(4) Forming a different directorate committee with authority for different fraternal associations to hold/make the convention of the fraternal associations of the Nepali Congress that have not held the convention; Nepal Student Association, Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepal Women's Association, Nepal Farmers' Federation, Nepal Dalit Association, Nepal Democratic Sports Association, Nepal Democracy Fighters Association, Nepal Ex-Servicemen Association, National Democratic Disabled Association and Nepal Tharu Association must be compulsorily till the end of 2081. A mandate given to hold a convention of the fraternity; This meeting approves the decision made on June 17, 2081 regarding the time period of the ad hoc working committees of the association.
