Reporters Without Borders (RSF), an important organization that prepares reports on press freedom around the world, has said that Kailash Sirohia, president of Kantipur Media Group, is being mistreated in Hirats.
RSF stated on its website that President Sirohia is now in custody and that he has been abused. Sirohia was arrested by the police from the office of Kantipur Dainik in Thapathali on Tuesday.
The government has arrested Sirohia, the president of the group, in retaliation for writing news on various wrong and opaque issues committed by the coalition government, including cooperative irregularities.
