Deputy Prime Minister, Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Raghuveer Mahaseth has said that the main goal of the government is to develop the country's physical infrastructure. "Unless the physical infrastructure is developed, the country cannot move towards prosperity," Mahaseth said. The first goal of the government is the development of physical infrastructure.
He said that the government is moving forward with the goal of speedy completion of construction of roads including Hulaki Highway, Mahendra Highway to four lanes, Madhyapahari Highway and Madan Bhandari Highway.
In a conversation with journalists at Janakpur Airport, Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth said that it was wrong for the Nepali Congress to demand the resignation of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane in Parliament. "Lamichhane was not guilty when the Congress offered him the position of Prime Minister," he said. He is being investigated.' Mahaseth said that Lamichhane should leave the government if found guilty in the investigation.
Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth also said that the provincial government will be reshuffled according to the agreement within the coalition.
Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth was welcomed by workers at Janakpur Airport with loads of fish and curd.
