CPN (UML) Vice President and Member of Parliament Bishnu Paudel is of the opinion that the policies and programs introduced by the government are the basis of socialism. Participating in the discussion on the policies and programs brought by the government in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Sunday, he claimed that the policies and programs of the government are excellent for building the foundation of socialism in the country.
Former finance minister Paudel mentioned that Nepali model of socialism in policies and programs is 'prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali' and all parties agree on this national aspiration. He also said that policies and programs have done the job of breaking the despair and instilling hope in the general public.
Paudel said that the government's policies and programs will speed up the development efforts of the confused country. "Recently, policies and programs have done the job of breaking the despair and instilling hope among the common people. The country's development efforts were confused. After the election of 2074, the country moved forward with speed in the field of social economic, material and human development. It was stopped in the middle. It disrupted the development of the country. This policy and program has resolved to bring the confused development on track and advance the development,' said Paudel, 'the country's economy is in a state of stagnation and laxity. It has taken the approach of making the weak economy viable and solving the socio-economic situation of the country.' Paudel also said that policy and programs have paid attention to the physical and human development of Nepal. "It has put prosperity, physical development, human development and prosperity in the center. The policies and programs have stopped saying that socialism is the country's destination. We have been calling socialism a prosperous Nepal, a happy Nepali. We all have a common belief that the socialism of the Nepali context is a prosperous Nepal and a happy Nepali. This belief is supported not only by one party, but also by all citizens," he said.
Paudel also said that the government's policy and program should be applauded by participating in the discussion rather than shouting slogans around the well. He said that it is better to adopt a policy of using domestic credit only for capital growth and productive work.
