There is less progress in the construction of roads, which are projects of national pride, compared to the last financial year. The construction progress of those roads has been slow until February of the current financial year.

Till February of the last financial year, 42 km of the road on the Madhyapahari highway was blacked out. But it is mentioned in the Economic Survey 080-81, which was released on Sunday, that only 13 kilometers of roads have been blackened till February of the current year.

Overall, out of the total distance of 1 thousand 879 km, 1 thousand 415 km of the road has been paved. Similarly, the progress of another Gaurav project, Hulaki Highway, is not satisfactory. According to the Economic Survey 079-80, 36.5 km of roads were blackened until February of that year.

The total length of Kaligandaki Corridor of North-South Highway is 447 km. It has been divided into two parts. According to which, out of the total distance of 245 km in the first section, Gaindakot-Ramdi-Maldhunga, 184 km of the road has been paved till February.

At this time last year, 120 km of roads were blacked out. Out of the total length of 269 km of the Karnali Corridor, only 4.5 km of road tracks have been opened till last February. Whereas till February of last year, only 3.5 km of road track had been opened.

The total distance of the Koshi corridor road is 162 km. Out of which 78 km of roads have been graveled till last February. Until February last year, only 15 km of the road was gravelled. Out of the six tunnels under construction on the Kathmandu Terai-Madhesh expressway (fast track), two tunnels have broken through.

70.977 km road, except for 6.5 km of Khokna area, the contract has been managed.
