The newly appointed Auditor General Toyam Raya has taken the oath of office and secrecy. Chief Justice Vishwambhar Prasad Shrestha administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Auditor General Raya in the presence of President Ramchandra Paudel at Shital Niwas on Thursday.
Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and heads of constitutional bodies including ministers were present in the program.
Roy, who is the Secretary of the Government of Nepal, has been appointed Auditor General by the government. Rai, who is also the former Finance Secretary, was the Secretary in the Statistics Office under the Prime Minister's Office. After being recommended for the appointment of the Auditor General, he resigned from the post.
