The special court in Kathmandu has found six people guilty in the corruption case, including Govinda Bahadur Khadka, the former president of Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality of Ramechhap.

Dhan Bahadur Karki, Deputy Registrar and Spokesperson of the Special Court informed that 27 people including ex-chairman Khadka were prosecuted by the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission for corruption during electrification, and 6 were found guilty and 21 others were acquitted.

According to him, Rajuprasad Neupane, Tankprasad Chaulagain, Durga Bahadur Tamang, Norbu Lama and Pike Construction's owner Amrit Bahadur Tamang were found guilty along with former president Khadka. Former president Khadka has been sentenced to a fine of 1 crore 99 lakh rupees and six months imprisonment.

Similarly, in the case of Neupane and Chaulagai, each person will be imprisoned for 3 months and a fine of 63 lakh rupees, and in the case of Tamang and Lama, each person will be imprisoned for 3 months and a fine of 31 lakh rupees, said Sub-Registrar and Spokesperson Karki.
