Holi is being celebrated in Janakpurdham on Tuesday. On the last day of Parikrama in Mithila Madhya, there is a tradition of celebrating Holi in the Mithila region, the day after Panchkoshi Intergriha Parikrama.
Holi is going to be celebrated on Tuesday and Wednesday after going around Janakpur on Monday. Today, vegetarians are celebrating Holi by eating sweets such as Malpuwa, Puri, Dahiwara, Mithai and wearing colors. Those who do not consume meat, fish or alcohol on Tuesday are preparing to celebrate Holi on Wednesday.
Mayor of Janpurdham Manoj Kumar Sah has requested to celebrate Holi today as Holi will be the day after the completion of Parikrama. He has requested not to go behind the Holi of eating meat and alcohol as it will always happen. Today is a public holiday in Madhesh province on the occasion of Holi festival.
