Ravin Lama, who attacked Tribhuvan University's vice-professor Prem Chagane, has been arrested. Bhupendra Khatri, Chief of District Police Complex and Senior Superintendent of Police Bhupendra Khatri informed that Lama was arrested by the team of District Police Complex Kathmandu from Tokha on Tuesday. The arrested Lama Sirha is a local resident of Asanpur. The premises also informed that he was arrested from Kapan.
He was arrested after an arrest warrant was issued against Lama. The district court of Kathmandu sentenced six people who attacked the driver on November 7 to two years in prison . The bench of Judge Vinod Khatiwada decided that Hari Acharya, Yogendra Rawal, Rupesh Sah, Niraj Ranamgar and Sayuj Shrestha along with the defendants in the case will be imprisoned for 2 years and fined 20,000 according to section 192 sub-section (5) of the Criminal Code 2074. . The court has acquitted Deepakraj Ojha, who was accused of matrimony in the said incident. In October 2077, the Vice-Professor was beaten to death by a group including Acharya, Secretary Rawal, the then Unit President of the Union. They have been struggling for three years demanding action.
