48-year-old Devsingh Kami of Silgum village of Tamankhola Rural Municipality-3 died on Friday afternoon. District Police Office Information Officer Vijay Yadav informed that he died on the spot. At the same time, 31-year-old Gyan Bahadur Budhamgar and 33-year-old Prem Bahadur Ghartimagar were injured. The incident site is 120 km west of the capital.

Locals said that the injured person's face and limbs were also burnt by the fire. Both people are being treated at the primary health center Burtiwang. The forest fire was also lit in the houses of the village . Ram Bahadur Karki's house covered with zinc of Tamankhola-2, Surya Bahadur Sirpali's cowshed were also damaged in the fire. The police said that they are collecting data about the damage to livestock.

Dozens of forests have been destroyed by fire. Yadav said that there were reports of fire in many places of the district and accordingly extinguished it. He said that the police and local residents were mobilized but could not extract any data.
