Chief Minister Mahara took the number of ministries to 11 in Lumbini

Two hours later, Mahara made CPN SK Bhagati Adhikari a minister without a department, increasing the number of ministries to 11.

After gathering support for the Chief Minister, Mahara increased the ministry after warning that if the 7-point written agreement made by the leaders of Lumbini along with Mahara is not implemented, the support given to the Chief Minister will be withdrawn. Jaspa, which still wrote as two ministries, and Naupa, which asked for two ministries, are dissatisfied after getting only one ministry. They have pressured the Chief Minister to withdraw the support if the two ministries do not provide according to the 7-point written agreement. Leaders of UML/Maoist have tried to convince Jaspa into one.

Non-departmental minister appointed on March 23, Arghakhanchi Constituency 1 (1) MP Chetnarayan Acharya from UML, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Rolpa Constituency 1 (2) MP Dipendra Kumar Puna from Maoist, government spokesperson, Health Ministry and Jaspa Banke Constituency 2 (1) MP Bhandarilal Ahir has been assigned the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Management.

So far 5 have been appointed as ministers from UML, one from Maoist including Chief Minister, one each from civil emancipation, JSP, CPN-S and independent. From UML, Gulmi Constituency 2 (2) MP Dinesh Panthi, Kapilvastu Constituency 3 (1) MP Arjun Kumar KC, Rupandehi Constituency 5 (1) MP Bhumishwar Dhakal and Banke Constituency 3 (1) MP Ratna Bahadur Khatri has been appointed as a non-departmental minister. UML's 5-member minister is led by party deputy leader Acharya.

Similarly, party leader Bardia Constituency 2 (2) from Unmukti Party MP Dharma Bahadur Chaudhary and Bhagwati Adhikari of Rupandehi of CPN SK and Independent MP Khadak Basnet of Constituency 2 (1) of Nawalparasi have also become non-departmental ministers.

When he got the majority for the Chief Ministership, Mahara had agreed on 7 points in writing to include Jaspa in agriculture and land management and tourism and urban development, Ministry of Tourism and Urban Development, CPN SK Bhagwati Adhikari and independent MP Khadak Basne in the government. At that time, UML shared 5 ministries and Maoists shared 3 ministries including the Chief Minister. Naupa, who supported Mahara after the distribution of ministries, demanded two ministries. When Chief Minister Mahara did not follow the written agreement when expanding the 10-member cabinet, Jaspa got one ministry, Naupa got one after asking for two ministries, and CPN-S, which was not included in the government, held a meeting and threatened to withdraw support.

According to the 7-point agreement, Maoists were agreed to get two ministries. Dipendra had become a minister again. The Maoist Parliamentary Party decided to make Banke's Krishna KC a minister. However, KC was not made a minister. If he was made a minister, the number of ministries would reach 12. If ministers are made according to the agreement, the number of ministries will reach 14. Chief Minister Mahara is preparing to increase the ministry, but after UML protested, it has increased to 11 so far.
