Baglung full vaccination assured district announcement

Bindu Kumar Thapa, Minister of Social Development and Health of Gandaki Province, announced on Wednesday that the district is fully vaccinated. It has been announced that 4 thousand 190 children from birth to 15 months and 13 thousand 56 children from 16 months to 59 months of Baglung have received the necessary vaccinations.

Minister Thapa and Secretary of the Ministry of Health Binodbindu Thapa also awarded certificates to 4 municipalities and 6 rural municipalities along with the District Vaccination Coordinating Committee for ensuring complete vaccination and taking it as a sustainability measure. Baburam Acharya, Member Secretary of District Vaccination Coordinating Committee and Head of Health Office, Baglung, said that this campaign is believed to reduce child and maternal mortality. This was announced only after it was confirmed that no child was deprived of vaccination after conducting a survey in all the households of all 85 wards by district health workers, women health volunteers and public representatives under the direction of the

committee. 'No one is deprived of vaccination,' said Acharya, 'now children can be saved from complex diseases.' .

When this campaign has reached its completion, it has helped to make the child friendly campaign started by the local level of the district a success. Baglung Municipality and Jaimini Municipality have prepared to declare Balmaitri Nagar. Galkot Municipality has already declared Balmaitri Nagar. Other municipalities are also working on child-friendly indicators. For that, there is a provision that the health of the mother and baby has improved, all vaccinations have been fully received and the amount of nutrition has also reached.

According to Amar Bahadur Thapa, Chairman of the District Vaccination Coordination Committee, Article 35 of the Constitution and the Local Government Operation Act 2074 provide legal provisions that all children must receive complete vaccinations. He informed that according to the provisions of the World Health Organization, the work is done so that no one misses out every year. In the program, Minister Thapa said that health indicators are getting stronger in Gandaki province. He also expressed his commitment to continue these indicators.
