Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that an agreement will be reached to form a parliamentary inquiry committee before the budget statement. Responding to questions raised during the discussion on the government's policies and programs at the House of Representatives meeting on Sunday, Prime Minister Dahal said that a consensus will be reached on the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee before the budget statement is released.
He said that he is constantly trying to end the impasse in Parliament. He said that if everyone shows positivity and flexibility in making TOR, an agreement can be reached by today (Sunday) evening.
'I have been holding discussions with political parties and leaders of opposition parties for a few days and efforts are being made to end this impasse. Although we have come very close to agreement and understanding, we have felt that from time to time. Just this morning, I tried to reach an agreement with the leaders of the Nepali Congress including the President of Budhanil Kanth and reached the President's house. And what I hope is that by today and tomorrow, by the time the budget statement is read, I would like to express my belief that there will be consensus and understanding," he said.
