A meeting of the top leaders of the major political parties is being held today to finalize the mandate of the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee to be formed to investigate the misappropriation of funds of the cooperatives.
The meeting will be held this morning at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar. After the meeting on Saturday could not be resolved, the meeting will be held again at 9 am today. Congress has been demanding that Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane's name should be made into an order.
The ruling party has been maintaining a position that a committee cannot be formed by naming names. Although the board meeting agreed to finalize the name of the company on Saturday, it has not been decided by the top leaders. It is said that today's meeting will finalize all the mandates and form a parliamentary inquiry committee.
