In a meeting held on Saturday at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar, a meeting of top leaders was held to decide the jurisdiction of the parliamentary committee on misappropriation of cooperative funds. The meeting of the working group held on Saturday afternoon came close to agreeing to designate the jurisdiction by writing the names of the cooperatives that have been questioned publicly, but no agreement was reached.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, UML President KP Sharma Oli and Congress Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka discussed the issue of jurisdiction, but Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba did not come.
Prime Minister's Private Secretary Ramesh Malla said that a meeting of the top leaders of Congress, UML and Maoists on Sunday morning will try to end the impasse in Parliament. "There has been talk of meeting a working group with the top leaders to conclude on Sunday morning," he said, "We are ready to agree as far as possible."
