Qatari emir came with 4 jets

Tribhuvan International Airport had implemented a Notice to Airman-Notam for one hour from 4 to 5 pm in accordance with the rules of flights for specific persons. But Airbus A-340-541 aircraft carrying Qatari Emir landed in Kathmandu 20 minutes before the Notam came into effect.

An official of the airport said that the plane carrying Amir was landed with special priority. Airbus A-340 aircraft carrying Amir landed at Kathmandu airport at 3:40 pm. The plane with four engines and a capacity of around 400 passengers had a group of around 40 employees including Amir. Another Airbus A-340 business jet landed 30 minutes after the plane carrying Amir. This plane remains on 'stand-by' if there is any technical problem in Amir's plane. Sources said that the 'stand-by' plane is scheduled to fly from Kathmandu to Doha before Amir's departure on Wednesday morning. According to aviation sources, during the Amir's visit, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal on Sunday gave permission to four planes to fly to Nepal.

The first plane Gulfstream G-650 ER landed in Kathmandu on Monday evening and the second plane landed in Kathmandu at 11 am on Tuesday to prepare for the Qatari Emir's visit. A Gulfstream G-650 ER brought the onboard equipment and equipment needed for Amir's business jet after landing. Amir's assistants and staff were on the second plane.

Qatar Airways' subsidiary company 'Qatar Executive' took the initiative from Doha through the Qatari embassy in Kathmandu for all the four planes. The Gulfstream G-650 ER aircraft is renowned worldwide for long-haul flights. The world's VVIPs, rich, entrepreneurs, celebrities use Gulfstream G-650ER aircraft to travel from one continent to another. In this visit, all the four planes will not have to pay the landing-parking fee to the Tribhuvan International Airport. However, all VVIP passengers including Amir will be charged Rs 3300 'Airport Service Charge'.

Three planes are parked in the three main parking ways of Tribhuvan International Airport. The Gulfstream G-650 ER, which arrived on Monday, has been placed in the parking area.
