Schools in Birgunj closed for three days due to extreme heat

Aravindalal Karna, head of Birgunj Metropolitan City Educational Administration Division, said that the meeting of Metropolitan Education Committee held today decided to stop the teaching for three days due to complaints from parents, students and teachers saying that the study was uncomfortable due to extreme heat.

'Today's meeting of Birganj Mahanagara Shiksha Samiti has decided to close the teaching work of the school due to extreme heat,' he said, 'only the teaching work will be closed so that the administrative work of all schools will not be hindered so that three days will be deducted from the annual vacation. .' Tomorrow i.e. Tuesday is the Republic Day public holiday. The head of the division, Karna, said that even though the holiday was announced, if the weather improved, the study would be possible.

According to the decision of the Mahanagara Shiksha Samiti on 17th Baisakh 2081, it was decided to start the teaching work from 6 o'clock in the morning because of the unfavorable weather (extreme heat) during the afternoon. Since the 20th of Baisakh, readings were being conducted in Birgunj metropolitan area during the morning hours.

There are 92 community schools and 138 private schools in the metropolis. There are 21 secondary schools, 15 basic schools, 55 primary schools and one pre-primary school.
