Pema Youth Club Biratnagar has reached the finals of Mills Gold Cup football tournament of the 4th edition by defeating the Koshi Pradesh police team 3-1. With the win, Pema will play Armed Police Force (APF) Pakli Sunsari on Saturday for the title.
Milan Rai, Sameer Rai and Kuldeep Karki scored for Pema. Ujjwal Rai scored the consolation goal for the state police. Police took the initial lead in the 29th minute of the game through Ujjal Rai's goal. In the 43rd minute of the game, Pema Yuva's Milan Rai scored a goal with his head and brought the team back into the game. In the 61st minute, Pema's Samir Rai doubled the lead.
After the second half, Samir, who entered the field in place of Sourav Limbu, converted Milan Rai's cross pass into a goal. Kuldeep Karki of Pema scored a goal to ensure the victory of the team before four minutes of doubling the lead. Milan Rai of the youth club was named the player of the match of the tournament. He got three thousand rupees in cash.
The winner of the tournament organized by Mills Gold Cup Football Trust will get Rs 211,100 and the runner-up will get Rs 111,100.
