Police have arrested 45-year-old Kulman Baram of Vimsen Thapa Rural Municipality 1 on the charge of raping a 19-year-old girl.
On February 23, the victim's mother filed a complaint with the police saying that the girl who was physically and mentally disabled had been abused.
DSP Ramesh Kumar Shrestha of District Police Office Gorkha informed that the accused was detained by the district court on Friday and the incident is being further investigated with an extension of permission for investigation.
