Rape victim threatened by perpetrator from jail

The victim has lodged a complaint with the police saying that the perpetrator, who was convicted of rape and sent to prison, called and threatened her from prison. The victim Singh Darbar-84 said that Pashupati Mainali of Nuwakot, who was sentenced to 7 years as per the verdict of the Kathmandu District Court on October 22, has been calling and threatening her from Dillibazar Jail.
'In the beginning, I didn't care much about what a person in prison can do,' said the victim, 'but last time he called me and arrested me, now he and your children will be kidnapped and killed. She said that she had to leave the village and live elsewhere because she felt insecure after being a gangster. "I got a call from the prison's mobile number, even after being in prison, I am afraid to go anywhere after receiving such a threat," she said.
Sinhdarbar-84 has filed a complaint in Sinhdarbar Police Circle asking that the perpetrator be arrested and investigated. According to the victim, after submitting the application, the prison administration said that the facility to call the family may have been misused and an investigation is being conducted. When the victim's husband went abroad, the perpetrator Mainali came to her house and forced her while she was sleeping at night. It is mentioned in the statement given by the victim in the court that he was forcing her by threatening that she had taken a video of the sexual activity.
According to him, the last time Mainali took the victim to a hotel in Baghbazar on 15 October 2078 and forcibly raped her by calling her saying that she would delete the video. After the incident, the victim informed the police and a case of rape was filed against Mainali. Kathmandu District Court sent Mainali to prison for pre-trial detention, while Patan High Court released him on bail. On May 26, the Supreme Court annulled the order of the High Court . Later, after the district court found him guilty on October 22, the perpetrator is in jail. Even after being released on bail, the victim said that she had to hide for a long time after the perpetrator threatened to kill her.
'After the incident, I was thrown out of the house, I could not live with the dead,' the victim said to Kantipur, 'I was wronged by the perpetrator, the family members also took me out and deprived me of the right to see my children. There is a lot of fear after the threat.'
