Congress instructs 10 fraternal organizations to hold their convention by the end of March

The Nepali Congress has extended the term of ten fraternal organizations which are running against the law by not being able to hold a regular convention. The Central Executive Committee sitting at the residence of Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkanth on Wednesday decided to extend the term of 10 fraternal organizations including Nepal Vidyarthi Sangh, Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepal Mahila Sangh and Nepal Dalit Sangh.
Earlier, the officers' meeting held on June 17 had decided to extend the deadline of the fraternal organizations. The meeting has also decided to form different directorate committees to complete the convention of those fraternal organizations. The
meeting was organized by the director committees of Nepal Student Association, Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepal Women's Association, Nepal Farmers' Federation, Nepal Dalit Association, Nepal Democratic Sports Association, Nepal Democracy Fighters Association, Nepal Ex-Servicemen Association, National Democratic Disabled Association and Nepal Tharu Association. Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel informed that it has been decided to issue a mandate to complete the convention of the fraternal union by the end of Chaitra.
