In the first Twenty20 cricket match against West Indies 'A', Nepal will field after winning the toss. Nepal's captain Rohit Paudel won the toss and invited the visiting team West Indies 'A' to bat at the Trivi Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
Nepal is playing without experienced fast bowlers Sompal Kami and Karan KC. They are not included in Nepal's playing XI. Young fast bowlers Pratish JC and Kamalsingh Airi have been included in Nepal's playing XI. Three other players including Kamal were included in the 16-member Nepali team only the previous day.
Experienced batsmen and wicketkeepers Asif Sheikh and Sandeep Zora are also not in the playing 11. This is the first game in the series of five games. Both the teams are playing this series to prepare for the Twenty20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies next year.
Along with Rohit, Kushal Bhurtel, Anil Sah, Gulshan Jha, Dipendrasingh Airy, Kushal Malla, Vivek Yadav, Kamalsingh Airy, Pratish JC, Avinash Bohra, Lalit Rajvanshi are playing against West Indies 'A' in the Nepali team.
West Indies 'A' under the captaincy of Roston Chase, Alik Ethanje, Kadeem Allin, KAC Carty, Johnson Charles, Andrew Fletcher, Matthew Ford, Obel McCoy, Gudakesh Motti, Kimo Paul, Osane Thomas are playing from the playing XI.
