The Nepal Insurance Authority has instructed the insurance companies not to stop the sale of agricultural insurance. Earlier, the insurance companies had issued notices saying that they would not sell insurance policies because the amount for subsidy in agriculture insurance did not come from the government.
On Wednesday, Bimak Sangh again issued a statement repeating the same old opinion. After that, the authority has instructed not to stop the sale of insurance policies and the payment of claims.
This authority has said that it has drawn serious attention to the announcement on agricultural insurance issued by the Nepal Insurance Association on 12 Baisakh 081.
'The Government of Nepal is repeatedly coordinating and taking initiatives with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to make the agriculture and livestock insurance business reliable and trustworthy and to provide the remaining subsidy amount received from the Government of Nepal as soon as possible,' said the instructions of the authority, 'and in the near future As soon as it is received, it has been requested to immediately withdraw the statement and resume the agricultural and livestock insurance business and payment of claims.'' .
