Prof Bhuvan Nagarkoti and Dinesh Prajapati took the joint lead of the Surya Nepal Premier Golf Championship with an overall score of 10 under 134 on the second day on Wednesday.

At Gokarna Golf Course, they beat Neeraj Tamang, Subas Tamang and amateur Sadbhava Acharya by 3 strokes.

Bhuvan posted a superb score card of 6 under 66 today. Day one leader Dinesh finished the day with a 3-under 69. With an overall score of 7 under 137, Neeraj, defending champion Subhas and amateur Sadbhav were joint third. While Neeraj shot a superb 6-under 66, Subhas and Sadbhav finished with 3-under 69.

Toranvikram Shahi and amateur Vijay Shrestha finished joint sixth with 5 under 139 overall. Vijay shot a 2-under 70 and Toran shot a 1-over 73. Toran dropped from second to sixth place on this score. Jairam Shrestha, Sanjay Lama and amateur Suman Periyar are joint eighth with an overall score of 4 under 140.

Jayaram scored 4-under 68, Sanjay 3-under 69 and Suman 2-over 74. At the end of 36 holes, 27 golfers made the cut, 21 professionals and 6 amateurs. On the pro side, Ramesh Adhikari, Dhan Bahadur Thapa, Bhuwan Kumar Rokka, Ravi Khadka, Rame Magar, Balbhadra Rai, Bhu Bahadur Gurung, Dal Bahadur Lama, Tank Bahadur Karki, Kishan Kaliraj Sunar, Basantraj Gurung, Shivram Paudel, Suryaprasad Sharma and Yuvraj Bhujel made the cut. On the amateur side, Sadbhava, Vijay, Suman along with Tenzing Palden, Rahul Vishwakarma and Wangchen Dhondup made it to the last two days.

Bhuvan, who was in joint third place on the first day, finished in 3-under 33 on both the front and back nine while he was in the top spot with Dinesh. He started with a bogey on the second hole but birdied the third, fourth, seventh and eighth holes. After this, he birdied four holes on the back nine. He saved one shot each on the 10th, 12th, 14th and 17th holes and bogeyed the 15th hole. He shot a total of 8 birdies.

Day 1 leader Dinesh finished the front nine in 2-under 34. He birdied the third, fifth, sixth and ninth holes and missed one shot each in the second and fourth holes. After this, he birdied the 11th and 12th holes against a bogey on the 14th hole and finished the back nine at 1-under 35.

Neeraj finished the front nine in 2-under 34. He birdied the first, third and fifth holes before dropping a shot on the eighth hole. On the back nine, Niraj hit four birdies on the 10th to 12th and 18th holes. Finished the back nine in 4 under 32.

Suwas birdied the second, third, fifth and ninth holes to finish at 3-under 33 on the front nine before dropping a shot at the sixth hole. After this, a birdie on the 12th hole against a bogey on the 11th hole finished the backnine at even par 36.

Amateur Sadbhava finished the front nine in 2-under 34. He saved one shot each on the third, fifth, sixth and seventh holes against bogeys on the second and eighth holes. Finished the back nine in 1-under 35. He bogeyed the 11th hole and saved shots on the 12th and 13th holes. Based on the prize money, there is a total of 15 lakh 50 thousand cash prize money in the biggest competition of the season. The winner will win 2 lakh 75 thousand.
