Two accused in the rape incident have been arrested. A 12-year-old boy from Gorkha Municipality 12 has been arrested for raping a 5-year-old girl.
The police arrested the accused on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim's mother saying that he raped the girl while she was playing alone on 8th Chait. DSP Ramesh Kumar Shrestha of District Police Office Gorkha informed that a case was registered against the child who was taken into custody by the police on Monday under the title of Forced Compulsion and the district court kept him in the monitoring room for further investigation.
Similarly, the police arrested 22-year-old Madan Thapa of Gorkha 10 Virenchok on the charge of forcing a 13-year-old girl into forced labor. According to the police, the accused was arrested on the basis of a complaint submitted by the victim's mother, who asked her to meet her privately on Saturday night.
A case was registered against the accused who was arrested on Sunday in Gorkha district court under the title of coercive crime and the police also informed that further investigation of the incident is taking place with permission to keep him in custody.
