On the occasion of Magar Day, three municipalities of Nawalparasi East have given a public holiday on February 15th. Gaindakot, Devchuli Municipality and Bulintar Rural Municipality issued a notification and gave a holiday on the occasion of Magar Day.
There is a majority of Magar community in that municipality. In the notification issued by the chief administrative officer of that municipality, it is mentioned that a public holiday has been given on the occasion of the 42nd Magar Day. Magar community is densely settled in 8 municipalities of eastern Nawalparasi.
