2 children died after drowning in a pond left behind after digging gravel

Then locals and police started searching for them . During the search, they were found dead on Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. while floating in a pond near the settlement.
DSP Panchkumar Bakhu of the area police office Mirchaiya said that the body was sent to the provincial hospital in Siraha for postmortem.
According to locals, this pool contractors Gravel was dug and left stranded. Due to indiscriminate gravel mining in this area, children die every year by drowning in ponds formed everywhere .
With the onset of the rainy season, the water level in the pits and ponds has increased and the police has asked to keep special vigilance on the children saying that there is a risk of human accidents.
