Integrated Urban Development Center and Bottlers Nepal have started 'Bawa' i.e. Children and Environment Project from Tuesday. The program was started by organizing an initial workshop in the presence of representatives of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Urban Planning Commission and schools.

Naveen Vikas Maharjan, Executive Director of Sahari Vikas Kendra informed that the students participating in the project will be given knowledge on various subjects including waste management, recycling, up-cycling and classification of waste.

This project has been started through two community schools namely Himalaya High School of Mahanagar Ward-22 and Mahendra Saraswati Seva Basic School of Ward-22. The Metropolitan Corporation envisages to make the government educational institutions of the metropolis more effective and increase the quality of education through this project.
