Nepal Airlines Corporation, which was traveling to Doha with 265 passengers, returned to Tribhuvan International Airport within 44 minutes after taking off from Kathmandu on Thursday night after a technical problem occurred in its widebody.
According to Corporation Technical Spokesperson Devendra Pun, the crew of Alpha Lima Yankee (Annapurna) had a problem in the hydraulic system and returned the widebody to Kathmandu at 12 o'clock at night.
RA-239 flight number 265 passengers going to Doha were sent to another Widebee Alpha Lima Zulu (Makalu) ship of the corporation at 3 pm. Both Makalu's Friday flights at 8 am and 1:45 pm were scheduled to be merged into a Delhi flight. According to
Pun, the ship with technical problems is being repaired in Kathmandu. "The ship will be released in a few hours," he said, "that ship will fly to Delhi scheduled at 1:45 in the afternoon."
