The National Examination Board has said that while appointing the examination center of Class 12 in Kathmandu district, it has been appointed using modern technology. The Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Sumana Shrestha, has directed that examination centers be assigned through an automatic (random) process to address these complaints, as there have been complaints of harassment to students of competitive schools by affecting the examination centers.
The technical team of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the National Examination Board developed software as a 'pilot project' and for the first time, examination centers in Kathmandu district were selected through automatic (random) method.
Based on the number of examinees in each school and the number of seats in the examination center, the distance was calculated based on the latitude and longitude of the school and the center. Preference was given to centers that were closer to schools. Looking at the number of examinees in the same school, on average, more than 150 examinees are distributed in such a way that they do not fall in one center.

It has also been called upon to make suggestions to make it more robust and fully automated, keeping the process transparent in line with the recognition of open source .
