On Friday, PSR Group of Lucknow and Sudurpaschim Pradesh won the Indo-Nepal T20 Championship cricket tournament in Bharatpur.
In the first match, Lucknow defeated the home team Bharatpur Mayors 11 by 86 runs. Chasing the huge target of 212 runs given by Lucknow, Bharatpur managed to score only 125 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Captain Dipesh Shrestha scored 32, Roshan Jha scored 31 and Vikalkumar Gupta scored 21 runs. Lucknow's Karthik Yadav took 2 wickets with 8 runs. Sarim and Prince took 2 wickets each.
PSR, who batted first, scored 211 runs while losing 9 wickets in half-centuries of two players. Nikhil Rao scored 69 runs. He hit 5 sixes and 7 fours off 29 balls. He was caught by Roshan Jha off Nayan Pradhan. Captain and wicketkeeper Sahin Hasan added 55 runs. Hasan hit 7 fours and a six off 41 balls before being caught out by Sougat Dhakal. In the second match, Sudurpaschim defeated Madhesh Pradesh by 47 runs. Having a target of 184 runs, Madhesh managed to score only 136 runs for 9 wickets. Madhesh opener Sahil Patel scored 25 runs with three fours. Neeraj Yadav scored 24 runs and Roshan Vishwakarma scored 23 runs. After losing the first wicket for 33 runs, Madhesh could not hold on. Deepak Bohra of Sudurpaschim took 3 wickets for 22 runs. Yuvraj Khatri and Bhojraj Bhatt took 2 wickets each. Naren Saud and Vasant Khatri took 1 wicket each.
Sudurpaschim, who batted first, scored 183 runs after losing 6 wickets. Vasant Karki scored 43 runs. Vasant, who played 27 balls, hit 3 fours and 2 sixes. Tech Rawat scored 34, Khadak Bohra scored 31, and opener Deepak Bohra added 27 runs. Vasant and Tech shared a partnership of 55 runs.
