The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, has said that the parliamentary role has not been effective due to the absence of a stable government. He said that good governance is necessary to make the parliamentary role effective and for that the permanence of the government is necessary.
Speaking at a press conference held by the Journalist Federation district branch in Palpa's Tansen on Saturday, Speaker Ghimire said that the lack of stability in the government has affected the parliamentary system. "Now it's time to think about the election system in a new way," he said, "We have to manage to bring elections in a simple, natural way."
He emphasized that in order to have a stable government of elected people's representatives, there should be a system in which the majority comes. Speaker Ghimire emphasized that there should be debate and discussion on these issues as well. He said that before laws are made, what are the things that should be taken into consideration and after the laws are made, they should also pay attention to how they are implemented. After the
law was made, the speaker and deputy speaker of the federal and state assemblies should guide and support the government regarding its effectiveness. He said, 'What should the government pay attention to in order to implement the law?' He said that there should be a discussion on the subject of post-graduation. He emphasized that its importance should be studied in order to implement it. Speaker Ghimire said that a plan should be made between the association and the state to carry forward the work of post-secondary education.
