Yamlal Kandel, the Chief Minister of the Karnali State Government, received a vote of confidence from the State Assembly on Monday.

Chief Minister Kandel passed a vote of confidence according to clause (2) of Article 188 of the Constitution. Received. 23 votes were cast in favor of Chief Minister Kandel and 14 were against. 23 MPs including 9 MPs from UML, 13 MPs from Congress and 1 independent MP have given vote of confidence to Chief Minister Kandel.

On March 27th, the Maoist Center withdrew its support after the Congress-UML power equation was formed in Kandel Kendra, which had the support of the Maoist Center. After the Maoists withdrew their support, the Congress gave a vote of confidence.

In the Karnali Provincial Assembly, which has a total of 40 members, there are currently 15 from Nepali Congress (one suspended), 13 from CPN (Maoist Center), 10 from Nepal Communist Party (UML), Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist), Rashtriya Prajatantra Party and Independent Party. One each is a member of the state assembly.
