  • The Mallah family has been on the hunt for justice for years

A family in Gallamandi, Siddharth Nagar-6, Ruppandehi, has alleged that two women pretended to be 'fake daughters' to seize the property of the deceased childless couple. The victim's family claims that there is collusion between the local people's representatives, administrators and employees to create a 'fake daughter' for Indian citizens.

The family held a press conference in Bhairahawa on Thursday and complained that they have not received justice from any state agency. 46-year-old Laljeet and 42-year-old Sant Mallah of Siddharth Nagar-6, Gallamandi said that the woman who claims share as a 'fake daughter' is an Indian citizen .

According to the brothers who have been wandering in search of justice for years, Rikhidevi Agarwal and Malati Mallah have claimed part by claiming to be the daughter of their uncle Sukhu Mallah who died on 17 June 2078. Being childless, Sukhu and his wife Kabutari were raised by Laljit and Santu.

There are 18 parcels of land in the name of the Mallah brothers in Siddharthnagar, Omsatiya and Siyari . The brothers complained that they did not get justice even when there was a fight to grab the said land.

Mallah brothers, who had inherited their uncle's property, said that they were surprised when two women suddenly claimed to be Sukhu's daughter . According to the documents submitted to the court by the victim's family, the woman is the daughter of Badal Mallah, a resident of Mehdawal, a slum district in India. As stated in the

press conference, initially the woman filed a case against Sant and Laljit in the district court demanding a portion. After the court asked for the death registration of Sukhu, both women reached the ward office located in Siddharth Nagar-6. The ward did not issue a death certificate there. After that, a case was filed against the ward and the municipality in the Butwal bench of the High Court Tulsipur.

After failing to submit proof that they are Sukhu Mallah's daughter in the court, the court dismissed the writ petition on 5th January 2078, deeming the evidence to be false. After that, the victim said that the woman took out the death certificate of Sukhu with the connivance of Vinod Karnasit, the ward secretary of Siddharthnagar-6. The Mallah brothers claim that they succeeded in getting the citizenship of the descendants by establishing a father for the childless Sukhu . The victim said that the woman's citizenship was verified by her husband instead of Sukhu.

'After submitting an application to the district administration for revocation of citizenship, the administration kept the woman's citizenship for investigation,' said the victim Laljit, 'but on 5th July 2080 Siddharth Nagar Mayor Istiyak Ahmed Khan and Mayadevi-3 Ward President Mohammad Rafiq Khan without investigation and witnesses. Citizenship was returned to women.'

About the citizenship of women, it was done from Siddharthnagar-8 in Siddharthnagar-6. The Mallah brothers allege that the district court ruled in favor of Rikhidevi and Malati who became 'fake daughters' on August 26, 2080, without trial and investigation regarding the surgeny performed from a different place. The Mallah brothers alleged that Siddharthnagar city chief Khan, Mayadevi-3 ward president Mohammad Rafiq, the then chief district officer Bharatmani Pandey, Siddharthnagar-8 ward president Rajanjung Rana and Siddharthnagar-6 ward secretary Vinod Karna were in collusion. They have demanded an inquiry into the collusion.

'There was no investigation on the citizenship obtained by the woman . How did the court believe that the age difference between Sukhu, who is called father, and Mali, who is the youngest daughter, is only 6 years and that the child was born within 6 years ? Many things are mysterious in the game of usurping share," Sant Mallah said in a press conference, "Our demand is that the citizenship of the woman who became a fake daughter should be investigated and action should be taken and the truth should be found out even if it is through DNA testing."

Mallah brothers have been going to ward, municipal office, district administration, court, and political party heads at the local level demanding justice for years. The Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, Ganesh Aryal informed that the victim has provided factual evidence in this regard and that the citizenship was previously held in a civil registry.
