Congress and UML equation for national interest: Leader Koirala

"The current equation is more for the benefit of the nation than for the benefit of the party," Koirala said while addressing the annual inauguration ceremony of the late Girija Prasad Koirala, the former chairman of the Nepali Congress, in Birganj on Tuesday, "If the current agreement is prolonged, the country will prosper and development will take a leap."

Koirala said that the equation of the two big parties will make a significant contribution to change the current election system that is leading the country to a bad state and adopt an election system that brings the majority to the entire country and party. He said that he is confident that the new government formed according to the new equation will have a majority and the decisions it will make will be long-term.

Girija Prasad Koirala, while discussing the contribution made to make the party running, emphasized that everyone should follow the principle of consensus and cooperation adopted by Koirala. In the ceremony organized by Congress Regional Working Committee Zone No. 2 Parsa with the support of Girija Prasad Koirala Foundation Madhesh Pradesh, Congress Joint Minister Badri Pandey, former Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supply and Congress leader Ramesh Rizal expressed their feelings and discussed the new equation and the contribution of the late Girija Prasad Koirala.
