Aryana Sabalenka won the title of US Open-2024 on Saturday after defeating home player Jessica Pegula. Forgetting the defeat in the finals last year, Sabalenka won the title match 7-5 and 7-5 in a thrilling way.
This is the third time that Sablenka from Belarus has won the Grand Slam title. This is the first time that the 26-year-old Sablenka, a two-time Australian Open winner, has won the US Open. With the
loss, 30-year-old Pegula's dream of winning a major title has yet to come true. She was playing in a Grand Slam final for the first time. It took Sabalenka 1 hour and 53 minutes to win the match and with the win she also won 3.6 million US dollars.
