LRI and Radiant Public won the 30th Knowledge Carnival Inter-School Basketball Tournament title on Thursday. LRI became the champion in boys and radiant girls.
LRI defeated Pushpa Sadan by a score of 69-53 in the boys final of the tournament organized to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the organizer Gyanodaya Balbatika. Mandeep Guragai scored 35 in LRI's win.
Divyansha Karki scored 25 as Radiant defeated Ribs 38-28. Mandeep and Divyansha, the top scorers of the final, were declared the Most Valuable Players in their respective categories. The
winner was awarded by Victor Shamsher Rana, Gyanodaya Founder Principal Indira Yakthumba, Gyanodaya Vice Principal Bhanu A and others. In the 11-day tournament, 17 teams in boys and 15 teams in girls competed on a Leaguecom knockout basis.
