23 lakh 43 thousand rupees have been spent on this year's Taplejung Gold Cup. 23 lakh 43 thousand rupees were spent for the players along with the prizes of the Taplejung Gold Cup football tournament which was held at the headquarters Fungling from 3rd to 10th of last month. This amount was spent on accommodation, transport and prizes for the players of eight teams.
According to Niroj Shrestha, the Treasurer of the Lakhe Jatra Khel Board of Directors, the highest amount spent on transportation, food, meals, and accommodation for the departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club Kathmandu is 344,750 rupees.
Shrestha said that 70,000 was spent for Sangarsh Sporting Club Ukalipani, which was prepared by the least organiser. According to the chairman of the committee, Devraj Gurung, the army team came from Kathmandu and the cost is also higher because the fare is higher.
Everest Football Club Morang, the winner of this year's title, has received 768,000 rupees. 5 lakh for the prize, 68 thousand for transportation and 2 lakh for food, lunch and accommodation. According to
organizers, money is provided to the players at the rate of 1250 on the day of the game, the day before and the last two days. 19 members of a team are given this facility. Treasurer Shrestha informed that since food, snacks and accommodation are given, the data is kept in the same way.
runner-up Salhes Youth Club Siraha has received 5 lakh 59 thousand 555 rupees. Siraha was given 250,555 for second prize including 84,000 for transportation and 225,000 for accommodation and food.
Butbal Lumbini F C Rupandehi 140,600 for transportation, 71,250 for food and accommodation and 2 lakh 17 thousand 850 has been provided as an additional 6 thousand. Birtamode United Jhapa has received 56,000 in transportation, 1,18,750 in food accommodation and 1,74,750.
Kanchenjunga Football Club Siliguri India has received 67 thousand 200 rupees for transportation, 71 thousand 250 rupees for food and accommodation, and 10 thousand rupees for 1 lakh 48 thousand 450 rupees. Neighboring district Panchthar has received 99 thousand 750 in transportation and 71 thousand 250 in housing. Eight teams from India, Kathmandu, Lumbini, Madhesh Pradesh participated in the competition along with the organizer's team.
In addition to this, most of the players from outside the district received the amount of category awards including Man of the Match. 5,000 for the man of the match and 85,000 rupees for the best players throughout the match period.
