Four athletes from Nepal are going to participate in the Asian Junior and School Boys and Girls Boxing Tournament held in Abu Dhabi of United Arab United.
More than 450 players in the age group of 13 to 16 years from different countries will participate in the tournament organized by the Asian Boxing Confederation from August 28 to September 10. Nepal Boxing Federation President Ram Awale has informed that the selection of athletes from Nepal to participate in the Asian Juniors was made from 175 athletes of the country.
Junior Chandan Shahi in 46 kg weight, Sherap Galchen Shorpa in 60 kg, Saryan Vaidya in 80 kg and Romas Shrestha in 61 kg school, said Federation General Secretary Mann Bhandari. Rameshdas Shrestha is the coach and Dhankumar Mainali is the judge. The team will travel to Dubai on Tuesday night. Member Secretary of National Sports Council, Tanklal Ghising bid farewell to the team and asked them to perform well.
