Valley Public and Satyasai reached the semi-finals of the 18th Greenland Inter-School Basketball Tournament in Junior Boys on Saturday.
Valley defeated Angels Heart with a score of 27-24. Vishal Pariyar of the team scored 13. Satyasai defeated Himarshmi 26-22 on Akash Mahato's score of 8. Laligurans National Academy defeated Seb 30-24 and Golden Peak defeated Greenfield 21-16 to reach the semi-finals. Sargam Gurung of Laligurans scored 11 and Aman Gurung of Goldenpik scored 8.
In the senior girls, host Greenland defeated Eden Bridge Academy (EBA) 29-24, Valley Public defeated Vidya Ashram 24-20, Ferryland defeated Paramount 28-24 and TIA secured the semifinals by defeating Tejashwi 23-19. Greenland's Ahana Khadka scored 12, Valley Public's Lorisa Gauchan scored 13, Ferryland's Kritika Katuwal scored 12 and TIA's Salina Chhetri scored 8.
Constellational defeated DVA 44-33, HHCA defeated Greenland 'A' 67-62 and Valley Public defeated TIA 40-33 in the senior boys' tournament to advance to the semi-finals. Sudin Tamang of Constellation scored 14 points, David Rai of HHCA scored 35 points and Sunil Paudel of Valley Public scored 20 points.
