The Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) honored the four volleyball teams who won medals in various competitions in Kava with cash on Saturday.

The gold and silver winners of Kava Beach Volleyball, the silver winners of Kava Women's Volleyball Nations League and the bronze winners of Kava U-20 Women's Volleyball Championship were awarded with cash.

The players of the women's team who became runners-up in the Kava Nations League held in Kathmandu were awarded 1 lakh 2 thousand rupees each. The Nepali women's team under the captaincy of Aruna Shahi created history by defeating India for the first time. After losing to India in the final, Nepal became the runner-up. The team's head coach Jagdish Prasad Bhatt was awarded 1 lakh 2 thousand rupees, assistant coach Bharat Yadav 92 thousand rupees, official Lokendra Kunwar and manager Neelam Vajracharya were awarded with 82 thousand rupees each.


Nepal's women's team won gold and men's team won silver in Kava beach volleyball in Bhutan. Gold winners Kamala Pun and Manisha Chaudhary each got Rs 60,000 and silver winners Man Bahadur Shrestha and Dil Sunar got Rs 30,000 each. Beach volleyball coach Rupesh Bisht was honored with 40,000.

15,000 was awarded to the bronze winning team members of the Kava U-20 Women's Championship held in the Maldives.

National Sports Council Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising, President of Nepal Volleyball Association Jitendra Bahadur Chand, Founder President of NRNA Upendra Mahato, President of Sahana Pradhan Smriti Foundation Ramkumari Jhankri and others distributed awards to the players.
