Himalayan Ganada Futsal Gold Cup 2081 is going to be organized in the capital under the joint initiative of Himalayan Football Club and Ganada Educational Consultancy.

The organizing organization also unveiled the trophy of the competition during a press conference held at the Nepal Sports Journalist Forum in Tripureshwar on Wednesday.

All the games of the tournament to be held on 20th and 21st of August will be conducted at Bhatbhateni Health Club located in Chawhil Chuchchepati. Although the Gold Cup is being held in the name of football competition, the organizer claims that it is going to be organized for the first time in Futsal. Organizers expect more than 32 teams to participate in the

competition. As the deadline for team registration is till 15th of August, the participation fee is fixed at 12,000 . Organizers believe that 4,000 spectators will watch the entire competition. Since

is an open competition, all players and teams can participate, said Vinod Karki, president of Himalayan Football Club. The winner of the competition will receive 2 lakhs in cash and the runner-up will receive 1 lakh. The fair play team will get 20,000 and the best player and the best goalkeeper will get 10,000.

With the growing interest in futsal in recent times, the secretary of the club Vidha Dangal said that this tournament is going to be organized so that there is some help in the development of this game and in improving the skills of the players. Organizers said that this tournament will contribute to the field of sports and futsal and will play an important role in identifying the talents of new players. Each match of the tournament will be played in

knockout format and the first and second half will be 10 minutes each. Karki also said that concessions will be arranged for teams from outside the valley to participate in the competition.
