Dhangadi-based SPA College has planted 3,470 saplings following the performance of Nepali cricketers in the recently concluded Twenty-20 Men's World Cup. On Friday, the college planted 10 saplings for every run and 20 saplings for every wicket taken against the opposing team as per the pre-announcement.

With the aim of supporting the Green Dhangadhi program of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city, the college has planted trees on the land provided by Sharda Mavi Baiyabehedi at Nalkaghat located in Dhangadhi-2 in collaboration with 'Green Clean Dhangadhi'.

In the tree planting program, Raju Rizal, the former captain of the national U-19 team, said that it was a matter of pride for him to be involved in the promotion of a respectful environment in which cricket and cricketers were encouraged.
