Junior and Student Boxing Tournament begins

According to the federation, the best players among the winners of this competition will participate in the Asian Junior and School Boys and Girls Boxing Tournament to be held in the UAE from August 27 to September 10.

In the 52 kg weight group, Aayog Ghising of Genex defeated Saphal Shrestha of Vibe by a split decision of 3:2. In the 57 kg weight group, Vinod Nagarje of Achham defeated Sonam Lama of Aryan Fitness on the basis of RSC in the second round.

ABC's Unique Rai defeated Fight Promotion's Bardan Nursing Rana in the 63 kg weight group by a split decision of 3:2. In the same weight, he defeated Sunsari's Dihang Limbu and Udaipur's Allan Rai in the first round on the basis of RSC. Vibe's Sarin Shrestha defeated Royan Vaidar of NFC by a split decision of 4:1.

Dipsa Kambang of Damak defeated Hasina Dangol of Buxmandu in the first round on the basis of RAC in the 46 kg category for junior girls. Saira Gosain of Bhaktapur defeated Selexi Bamjan of CGG in the 49 kg weight category for school girls by a unanimous decision of 5:0.

In the 46 kg weight category for students, Anish Rai of ABC defeated Pragya Maharjan of Thankot, Kunjan Thapa of Sunsari, Ashutosh Subedi of Banuj and Lagehang Limbu of Jhapa defeated Roshan Sherpa of Fight by equal 5:0.

In 49 kg, all Vibe officials defeated Animesh Mahar of SWIT on the basis of 3:2 split decision. In 52 kg, Ankit Karki of KBA defeated Nawang Limbu of Sunsari by a margin of 5:0. The competition will run till July 14.
